I picked up a oem honda cd player a few days back. It is off of a 99 honda civic ex. everything works fine, but it wont play any cd's not even bran new original cd. It does not say error on the screen when i put a cd in. It say T-00 then after a few seconds it say E-00 and spits the cd out. At first i thought since there is no error message it must be dirty. I bought a bottle of that stuff that sprays air for pc's. I cleaned the inside, and tryed it again no luck. I also bought the cd that cleans the lense but it wont play that either. Anyone know what else i can try. Thanks in advanced for your help.

BUT SOMETHING THAT MAY HELP YOU IS IF YOU HAVE ANY MP3 PLAYER, BUY A WIRELESS TRANSMITOR FOR MP3.... IT HELP U TO LISTEN WHAT YOU WANT BUT THE SIGNAL IS NOT TOO CLEAR.

 

thats gonna be my final resort. my bro had one in his car sound quality was cool tho. i have the stock oem radio and have good speakers all around. i have a 10" alpine sub when i had my alpine unit my sytem was loud but now wioth my oem raido it kinda sucks. i wonder if the transmitteswill make it louder. i know if i fix my cd player the cd is louder than fm radio. ima try cleaning the lense today i"ll let u know what happens.

 

I have an OEM Honda Civic CD player and will sell it to you if you are interested. Guaranteed working...Only reason I pulled it out was because I wanted preouts for amplifiers.

well i took it apart. this ws my first time trying this. i had no luck finding the lense lol. i took everyhitng appart i pulled out then actuall cd rom drive. and i couldnt locate teh lense it was to difficult to take the lense ocvoer appart i approched it from the bottom. there was also a cd in there maybe the cd was in the way. i put it back together to and connected it to take the cd out. radio still works but the cd doesnt work anymore i can even switch from fm to cd anymore. i guess i [freak]ed it up o well. im just gonna go pick up a pioneer stereo tommorow at best buy my fridn work tehre at car fi and he get 50% off on car radios. this sucks i loved how the stock radio looked it lite up amber too which complimented my jdm sir amber cluster.

are you sure the cd is going in all the way? my cds sometimes go in but get kinda stuck and dont read, displaying the same error sign u mentioned.
