Been having trouble with my engine. It runs. It just runs kinda shitty. I hear a tapping when I accelerate, and whenever I rev it, I see white smoke.
I have done some searching about my head/block combination (d16a6 head/d15bX block), and found out that it can be a timing issue. I didn't really find much about it, though. I still have the old cylinder head, which was a d15b7. I was wondering if I could take the cam gear from my d15b7 head and put it on the d16a6 cam. Would that cure the timing issue, if the cam gear does fit?

are you sure you didnt blow your head gasket? cuz i have the d15b7 and it sounds like a rattle kinda right? and check ur oil see if it looks cream color cuz white smoke could mean ur gettin water in your oil or leaking oil into ur headers
i think from what happened to me
