Ok car is a 96 GSR.. once I hit 4800 the crossover is normal, then right before 6000 rpm my car goes out of vtec for a sec and at about 6100 its back to normal.. I'm thinking im low on oil but for some reason I can't get an accurate reading.. any suggestions?

 

are you parked on flat ground while checking your oil?

has the car been off for a few minutes before you checked?

 

same problem with my GSR right now... its cutting in and out and no CEL... my change oil due in like 200 kms so Im thinking that the oil could be the problem so Im getting a change oil done 2mrw... check that first and if not, try cleaning or replacing the filter on ur VTEC solenoid
