Default Water Pump, Draining plugs

I am a first-timer when it comes to fixing anything on my 91 DX Hatch. Anywho, I am changing the timing belt and have a few questions...

1) Should I replace the water pump even it's still working okay?

2) I am using both the 91 Honda FSM and Haynes to guide me. When it comes to draining the coolant, Haynes say to unplug a drain from the engine block and the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. The Honda FSM only list the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator, NOT the drain plug on the engine block. Should I remove both according to Haynes?

Thanks, guys.

You should replace the water pump while you are in there.

You'll be fine just draining the radiator alone. But if you want to completly drain/flush the coolant than remove the plug from the block.

btw haynes is okay but the helm's manuals are the best, they make the official service manual. I guess they're both nice for reference but i just hate it when the haynes manual says to refence the factory service manual
