is it true you can't pull magnictic pickups off distributor and put them back into itself without doing something special? someone told me if they are pulled apart you need to set them or someting like that. shine some light on this will you guys. thx

 

I have takes a couple dizzy's apart if you take the pickup out it needs to be in the exact same spot. the holes are slightly larger and can be adjusted back and forth and closer and farther from the wheel/gear the pickup reads. Im sure its adjusted at time of manufacture I have no idea how to replicate that. good luck
