Alright i searched, and read that the obd2 gsr wiring harness works with the obd1 civics. I have the complete swap from a wrecked 98 integra. If i do this swap will i be able to bar it? and smog it? if not what do i need to get it barred? please let me know.
u will be able to bar it, just be sure to hide all the other plugs and wires that are hanging/not use for the obd1 motor. i just finished my 99 gsr swap into my 94 honda civic si hatchback and it's running great, no problem, no check engine light or anything. the only wire that u will have to wire up is the knock sensor, wire it directly from the knock sensor to ur ecu. also as long as u have all the right stuff hook up, and if u have aftermarket parts, make sure they're carb, u should be able to pass.

yea just daily driver for now, as im taken out loans to buy da motor. waitin on the dude with the motor right now he flakin on me. never gave me a call back and not pickin up his phone.
i hate flakers, how much are u getting the motor for, is it complete. what year is it and how many mileage, make sure it's legit before u buy it, call chp and tell them the engine code and see if it's stolen, don't say who's engine it is though, just tell them ur looking at it on a website and ur just wondering if it's stolen before u buy it.
