Tech-Tip: Lower the front suspension ~20mm for FREE
This trick works on 88-00 Civic's, and 98-02 Accords, should work on others as well.
It is faster, easier, and less destructive (you can reverse the modification with out replacing any parts) thean the DIY boat look remedy.
-Jack up the car, support on stands
-remove the front wheels
-remove the front strut forks
-there is a metal band that the fork was resting against, some models it has the brakle line brackets built in.
-tap it down with a hammer
-install everything
-done.

maybe pictures this weekend, I didn't take any when I had the car apart.
It is very obvious what needs to be done once you take it apart.

not really, the band is more like a spacer witha loose press fit over removing the spacer, the strut body. It rests against a weld with a machined flat. after removing the spacer the fork rests directly against the weld.
ran my civic like that for a couple years down gravel roads.
