Default h22a ek feels less responsive and a bit louder.

just recently my h22 seems to be a bit boggy in the beginning of gears like right as i am releasing the clutch. and it has always been kinda loud under the hood, but i don't really know how to explain it it just sounds different. i have to codes, 1 and 12 1 is the o2 sensor(but im pretty sure that that "1" is just saying i have bad emissions, its the "41" o2 code thats bad, but correct me if i'm wrong. and 12 is egr, which isnt hooked up. so i dont think it any of my codes. i have an exhaust leak at the bottom of the header right where those 2 little gaskets go, ive never got around to replacing them because i was under the impression that it was running fine. a few weeks prior to this i raced a tl type s(286hp 260tq) from a red light. we were neck and neck until 4th then i pulled on him barely. so after that i knew my car was running right. i have a new o2 sensor(i used to have the code 41 but when i replaced the o2 it went away and now i only have a code 1) so any ideas are greatly appreciated. thanks

code one is a faulty 02 sensor circuit (check wiring) and a 41 is the o2 heater element. The EGR code will make your car run like **** so get a skunk2 intake mani and use a egr blockoff. The exhaust leak can also slow you down a bit. Sometimes if the engine gets a louder deeper note you may have a clogged cat or a timing issue.

The EGR has no affect on the motor at all it's a soft code, mines never been hooked up and i have no problems from it. I don't even know if the skunk2 mani would fit with the h swap. but i know thats way to exspensive just to get rid of the egr , just get a p28 and chip it,,, I'd fix the o2 sensor and header problem cause that could be causing you car to run a little rich wich would cause you bogging & power loss on the low end.
