Wierdest Thing Happened...Look...any help please?!?!
Tuning my car, bout to pull in the shop (Street Tuning), car cuts off....
Ok..we try to start it and keep going, but it doesnt start. ... so we crank and crank and crank, and the whole time it was getting rich beyond anything i have ever seen...so we WOT it, while cranking, and it starts, i keep my foot on the pedel to drive it all the way to the shop, and we pull spark plugs.
#4 was not even a spark plug anymore...it was fouled to hell and back...the other oens were normal richness, not too bad.
So we think it was a stuck injector, so we swap some new ones on, and still it runs like crap, revs REALLY SLOW. we think it could be a cracked ring land, or a burned valve. so we put new plugs in so i can drive it home to work on it.
It Barely drove...iam 5 miles form house, and POP!! i hear some loud clicking or tickking or something...so i shut off the motor and pull over. I took off #4 spaark plug wire, and the plug was tilted to the side.
I get a tow home and take off the valve cover, i thought my valve droped and smacked the plug up a lil, but the valves are still there n stuff. I manage to get the plug out and its broken in HALF. The thread part being stuck in there and the top just poping right off. the Piston looks fairly clean, and a compression test had it being about 50 psi less than the other cylinders. cap of oil in there raised the compression a lil bit. So...that was crazy, what could cause all that? Bad Valve? Rings? Someone even told me it could be a Burned out Piston itself!!!
