Default what would you guys do?

Ok guys, so i just bought a 90 crx si tonight, its pretty dang clean i must say! especially for 1700 bucks, but ill get pics up tomorrow. Anyways my question is about the seats. It has the stock Si seats in there which look really good and are very comfortable. the passenger seat is in great condition, but the drivers side is torn to hell on the outside from getting in and out and it feels like a lot of the "stuffing" has come out. Also it appears as tho one of the brackets broke b/c the drivers seat rocks a lot.
The seller was very generous and gave me a set of mint ek seats to swap out, has anyone ever done this swap? Do i need to do the pan swap? how well do they sit in there? too big? too high? too low? anyone know?

is there much of an option of getting the Si seats repaired?

Don't remember much....but before and after replacing my stock HF seats to some 97 civic seats I think they only sit a tad higher? if not the same? I stand 5'2" by the way but they do sit/pull closer to the steering wheel a bit?...I like em they're pretty comfortable ...my other REX has 92-95 civc seats which is okay but I like the 96-00 seats better...YES you have to do the pan swap....

Reason I swap the seats was because drive seat was garbage...

yeah, my drivers seat is trashed as well, but i wish i could keep the si seats there so clean... when their clean... a pan swap i would just put the ek seats into the crx seat pans correct?
any solutions to having a broken bracket? only 3 bolts are holding in the drivers seat of my Si seats right now and it rocks back and forth

I understand the concept of pan swapping, and ill prolly give that a shot and see how the ek seats feel in there, but my question is what can i do about having a broken rail? Just buy another crx seat and use that pan? Heres a few pics of what im talking about

Thats on the drivers side front left bracket where it should mount
any ideas?

I had EK seats in my hatch, and I hated them. They are to flat and they dont hold you in very good.

I made custom brackets and then utilized my stock seat rails.

The height of them really depends on how you fab the brackets, etc.

i just had my driver's seat out a week ago, you can have it out in 5 minutes. pretty sure you can replace just that one rail, or make your own bracket to fit on the broken one. my seat is tore in the same spot, i'll probably just take it off and sew it back up.
saw your pics in the other post...the car is a great find!!

My 90 SI had a torn drivers seat when I got it, so I found some extra seat material from ed SI's and took it to my local furniture upholstery shop. They took about a day, reupholstered it, and put new padding in it. Now I love my seats and would never give them up, they seem far more supportive than eg or ek seats.
