Default 00 Integra w/Koni Yellows and ITR springs --> Passenger side sits higher thatn Driver side, WHY?

I have a 2000 Integra GS-R 2dr.

I just recently put Koni Yellows with stock Integra Type R springs. The perches are in the middle (stock settings).

The problem: the passenger side sits higher than the driver's side, especially in the rear. What is causing this problem?

Completely normal.

The engine is on the drivers side of the engine bay, making that side of the car heavier.

The GSR was not perfectly level stock either, its just much harder to tell with the huge fender gap, and you only start looking for something "off" after you modify it.

To add a bit more. My GSR sits around 3/4" lower on the driver's side on Koni Yellows and GC sleeves w/ 400/400 rates, with the perches adjusted even left to right. No one but me notices, because its my car, and I bothered to check after I lowered it. And no, I don't want to upset the balance further by adjusting spring perches to level the car, that will push the cross weights even further off and without scales, I can't corner balance it.

How is it "stock" if the shocks have been replaced with aftermarket? (I'm just being a punk, ignore the question.)

Aside from that, how are you measuring? Are you positive the ground was perfectly level when you measured?

Don't go by "fender gap" as that can be very misleading. Measure from the ground to the front side jack points, if you actually want a real measurement. Additionally, worn shocks and/or bushings could slightly alter ride height on one side more than the other, as could weight in the trunk (like the 20 lbs of sub and box I have behind my rear passenger seat).

But, if you still don't believe me, do some searching here on HT. This has come up before, and many people have noticed the same thing, and many others have reported it completely normal. After all, our cars are heavier on one side, how could the car sit level with equal spring rates and equal perch heights?

If it seriously bothers you, stuff a small rubber spring spacer under the front driver's side spring. However, handling will suffer from doing so (but probably not enough to bother worrying about on a purely street car).

One more thing occurred to me. If you didn't get the shock into the shock fork evenly on both sides, that could also be screwing with the evenness of the ride height.

hard to mess that up, there is an indent for the screw to go by, unless they didnt know and forced it in.

I'll take some pictures. It's mainly in the rear.

But no sub, all brand new koni yellow shocks.

I just did another alignment the other day, and the passenger side has less camber than the drives side because of the higher ride height.

It didn't do this a few weeks ago when I had Omni Power Full Body coilovers on, and they were adjusted equal on each side.

If you installed everything correctly, you used the correct parts for your vehicle, and none of the spring coils are broken, then there is nothing you can do.

Are you sure you put the correct springs in each corner? Sure you assembled the upper mounts correctly? One missing washer up there could cause a problem.

Photos will help.
