Best vtec head for turbo
hello everyone i just got done building my gsr block for turbo with wiesco low compression pistons and eagle forged h beam rods and was wondering what would be the best head to put on this build
just keep it stock man,
there will always be the b16 vs gsr head argument.
if you can any type r head would be better b16b or b18c
if you were going all motor then i think it would matter more but if your boostin you can just up the boost

People argue this all the time. If you already have a GSR head just use it. If you still need to purchase one any will do but like previously stated the Type R heads will have better cams, springs, and retainers for higher revving.
In all though stock for stock I would choose the GSR head since it already has the GSR cams which are excellent for boost but a B16 head with GSR cams works just as well. Type R cams are the best though for making that extra power.

Thanks guys for you info so gsr cams will work better for boost do they have a bigger lift then b16 cams and what you guys think about a b16b head(civic type r)
A CTR head sounds nice and all, but for the price of picking one up you can stick some even better aftermarket spring/retainers in your head, and then maybe even pick up some aftermarket cams.

Yeah true but if you want some big cams you'll need to upgrade your lma's along with the cams, springs and retainers which all add a lot of cost.
I went with a b16 head, dual springs titanium retainers, prelude lma's, and pro 1 cams. This all added a lot of cost!
