Im thinking of putting in a K20A from a FN2 or EP3 into a EK or EG chassis as a project. The EG chassis is the best IMO but would like to know what one would be easyer??? Ive currently got a celica GT-Four but am missing my old honda, And an EK9 are about 6k so im thinking build a K20A which will be much faster, Anyone got any infomation that can help??

 

where you gonna find an ek9 for 6k?? and i hope you know that your getting yourself into a shitload of work and frustration....but good luck to you. if you do get this build off the ground...how bout a build thread??

 

Im from england mate, So i guess that would be $12,000. for an EK9. Anyhoo if anyone else can get me some infomation, I can get a K20A for about £2.5k inc custom loom and engine/gbox ect

 

depending on your budget. it would be easyer if you just do a eg swap. with the ek swap you'll have to convert your rack pinion to an eg/dc crossmember and rack pinions. as far as swap goes, its gonna cost you bit but well worth it. if you have the cash dont waste time doing a k20a3(base). go for the k20a2(type-s) or the k24a2(tsx). but if you want ez power do an k24/2k20 frank. ez 230whp off the back w/krpo. not a lot of info here in HT but http://www.k20a.org has all the info you need to know.

Are you sure you need to change the rack and pinion in a ek to an eg? Im pretty sure my ek dx hatch would make it.

 

K20 swaps here in the UK are quite few and far between...
