how much?

is it possible or does anyone know if its been done to put a turbo kit together for a d16 for $1200? anyone have parts?

check the 'forced induction' forum. also, if you're looking to buy something check the 'marketplace'.

search works quite well too.

It won't be reliable at all for just $1,200 -- unless you can find a friend with a used turbo kit for that cheap

Yes it's possible and people have put together DIY turbo kits for <$500! homemadeturbo.com

There is no set cost for a turbo kit. It depends on your knowledge, experience, skills (welding, tuning, etc.), the tools you have, the people you know, etc.
