40MM tial wastegate ok for my setup???
hey all , just wondering if the 40mm wastgate is ok for me to use - ls-vtec fully built w/ a gt35r turbo - power goal is 600whp.. thanks
What manifold do you plan on using? Are you gonna run a boost by gear boost controller? Whats the lowest boost you plain on running? Personally with my experiences I dont think the 40mm will be enough.

I would atleast run a 44mm....its a big turbo on lower boost with a very efficient manifold. I used to run a full-race ramhorn with a t3 sc61 and a 44mm wastegate and still had boost creep. I had a 12psi spring and it would creep to 17-18psi. Now i believe they redesigned their manifold as far as how the wastegate is situated so it might be better now. But I atleast figured i'd throw out my experience to you. With my current setup I said right off the bat i'm not dealing with any boost creep, so I went right with a 60mm. I know its overkill and huge but I know for a fact it will hold boost as low as I choose to go with those larger turbos. Just my .02
my original plans were to go with a 44mm but my friend is selling his Full race mani to me (40mm) for 500.00 so i wanted to take advantage of a good price for a very good product. would u recommend buing that mani and have it re-flanged to a 44mm? if so should it go directly to Full Race or can any shop re-flange it?
