how to tune in an aggressive sounding 2 step
do you know how 2-steps work? cuz loud bangs are just the fuel being ignited in ur turbo and the louder the bang the more damage its doing. Most drag cars can afford it because they have the money and backup turbos.
I don't know that much about 2-steps either but i have had a lot of people tell me that 2-step isnt good for your turbo. Also making your 2-step sound louder just for the sake of sounding louder/ like gun shots seems kinda ricer to me.

What you are referring to is an anti lag.
What engine management system do you have ?

sounds like he is referring to the antilag setup.
1) you have to be turbo
antilag = retarding timing considerably and adding fuel.
I havent had the chance to mess with antilag yet, but it really helps for boosted motors at the track. This way they can launch with the motor in boost, which means less lag.

if i remember correctly, the crome plug ins merely cut the fuel, so you are really only hitting a fuel cut, thats not going to give you fireballs out the exhaust that you are trying to acheive. u need to leave fuel and retard/cut ignition for that.
Mine does that under WOT shifting. My tuner set it to only cut the ignition when at WOT and the clutch is in because he said he wants the fuel keeping the valves cool. But it's just a little pop. I'd prefer to have nothing at all, but if it serves a function, then I don't care.

Don't just retard timing, CUT timing. With the AEM you can run a wire from the clutch and set it up so that at WOT, put the clutch in and it will cut the timing which drops RPMs so you don't have to let off the throttle. You have the option of cutting fuel or leaving it. If you leave it, unburnt fuel goes into the exhaust and ignites. Whether your software can do this I'm not sure. But WOT throttle shifting isn't just for turbos.
When i had AEM standalone in my old boosted EK I ran ignition cut, and shot flames when I shifted. Launch control didnt shoot any flames though..just black smoke
Does Crome have ignition cut now as well as fuel cut for launch control?

i would imagine you are not able to preload the clutch setup like that?

I'm not sure what you mean by "preload".
On my car I had to run a wire to the clutch switch from an empty pin on the C harness. Some cars have a clutch input already at the ECU, but you would need to go to Options, Configure Outputs and set it up.

PRELOAD IS WHEN YOU RELEASE THE CLUTCH AT THE LINE JUST ENOUGH to put tension on the driveline so when you release it it doesnt shock the drive train wich save parts from breaking ,,now i imagine if you have the 2 step setup as you described you would not be able to preload the clutch or the 2 step would shut off?
