Default Injector Problems

Hey guys, I wasn't sure if I should post this in all motor, engine building, or here, but w/e. Feel free to move it if so desired.

Anyway, I bought some Accell injectors about a year ago when I was building my motor. I didn't put them in right away, they sat around for about a year. So just recently I go to have my car tuned and I max out my stock injectors. So we put the Accell injectors in. They won't open. I pop my stock injectors back in and they work fine.

It actually built up so much pressure on the Accells that when we backed off the bolts it blew the fuel rail off. So they were obviosly getting fuel. I have a JDM P73 ecu and the car is a 99 civic SI. (head is the 99 b16) Accell swears that they are the right part number, but something leads me to think Accell doesn't know **** about a OBD2A JDM ecu.

The part # is 153310

They also make part #s 152310 and 151310.

So my question is... am I supposed to be using high impedance injectors with this ecu? does the ecu even matter? Why would an injector not open? Anyone have any ideas?

I sent the injectors back to Accell and they replaced them, but I know as well as Accell that I didn't get 4 bad injectors. The odds are in the millions. So when I go to put these in I have a feeling they aren't going to work. Again.

Any advice is appreciated!

you are supposed ot be using high resistance injectors. did you try testing htem real quick to make sure they were above 10 ohm?

It's common for injectors that have been sitting to get stuck shut. See if you can get them to open by connecting them directly to a battery (don't hold them on for more than a second). Worst case scenario you have to send them to RC or a similar service.

I already sent the bad ones back to Accell and they replaced them. I'm really hoping that they were all just stuck closed. Thanks for the input guys!
