Default Engine problems

what does a car do wen water gets in to the engine and can it do that by washing the car.. ive washed it a dozen times i cant see why this one time would make it like that. Or can it be the altenator ive had problems with my lights diming down and after i accelerate they get back to normal..... any sudgestions????????

We need more info. Was it fine before you washed it? Did you wash the engine bay? How is the car running now? I've pressure washed many engine bays and never had an alternator problem, but some on here have. Did you mean water inside the motor itself or just on it in the engine bay?

no just washed the out side of the car and wen i had to move the car the engine still sound normal.. but then after i got done drying the car and left it started making a choking sound only and it was slowly pulling on

first thing since you asked about water in the engine, check the oil "you may have already" make sure its not milky. If you think its the alternator, have it tested tomarrow at a local auto parts store. then at least you have those 2 possibilities out of the way.

its just weird bro .... kinda hard to say without actually seeing the car first hand, and not having more detail Good luck maybe someone more educated will get on here and have an answer for you.
