ok i remember reading that the ex trans can be swapped onto a D15 with no work correct??

If this is true what are the benefits? is it worth it? Im going to need to change my clutch soon so i figured while i have it out, why not replace it.

Also, where would be a good place to find one of these?

As long as you are swapping a Hydro tranny for a Hydro tranny or a Cable for a Cable the D's will bolt right on.

I would suggest the tranny it's shorter gears are very nice. But, if you are going to do this, an LSD is that much better.

 

are you suggesting i put an lsd with the ex trans? yeah that would be ideal but cash doesnt permit at the moment.

Can you tell me if i have a hydro or cable tranny?.....its a 92 dx hatch with the mentioned D15B

swapping in a EX/Si tranny onto the D15B7 is the BEST mod for the money you can do.

2.4 hours to swap the trannys is my best time so far.

AND this was at Mid Ohio in the paddock, not in a heated garage!

You would be adding this to your car. in place of your stock differential (between your axles)

 

that's INSIDE the tranny, right??

 

yes, teh differential is within the tranny.
