Stolen 97 EK April 4 2008
If the picture does not come up in this post, please click on the link below. Thanks
I live in Germantown, MD and my car was stolen last night or early this morning(maybe between 10pm-3am) while park in front of my house. I found out about it not until I went out at 8am to go work and nothing was in my parking spot. The car had a basic Viper alarm and Autolock on. I think who ever did this has been watching my car for long now, because last night was the only time I did not have the autolock on. I never expected this to happen especially in front of our house and this time around. I guess thieves do not take any time off or whatsoever.
Please keep a lookout for a Purple 1997 Honda Civic Hatch. Here is a lists of stuff that I have on the car;
Apexi world sport exhaust
Front and back ABS CTR lips(black unpainted)
15's Copper or gold Rota Slips wrapped with Kumho tires
Sony head unit
Skunk2 coilovers
Viper Alarm
and many other little stuff on it.
I don't expect the police to find it but if they ever do probably stripped or in bad shape. I don't regret anything I gave the car some added life and sunshine since I bought it last April, oh snap I just realized April 07 was when I purchased the car! so weird, I took care of it as much as I could and gotten some great critics from my friends and other people.
I had an awesome time driving and working on the car and for whoever did this enjoy while you can because moment like this has an end.
I won't let this discourage me at all. I will start searching for my next project soon.

not to be a dick, but that doesn't make sense... i caught someone trying to pry my door molding back... didnt catch them.... confusing. do you mean you saw them, so you ran out to knock 'em out, but they ran away?

do you have full coverage on your car and all the receipts to the stuff on it because i have full coverage on mine which includes theft so if it gets stolen i will get paid the money i spent on the car plus all the other stuff i purchased to put on the car (suspension, head unit, intake,etc...)
Goodnews! They found my car 40 miles(Greenbelt, MD) away from our house at around 845am April 5. I was actually surprised that they did not wreck the car, there was not any damage on the body. They took the rota slips, Sony stereo unit, front and rear CTR lips, airbag(driver), alarm, and other litttle things. But the Apexi exhaust was still there and the skunk2 coilovers. I'll try to post some pictures soon so please be patient.
I appreciate all the thoughts and support, THANKS!
Just to answer some of the questions you have for me; I don't have full coverage on the car because at the time when I purchased the car it was not practical to fully cover it beacause the car was kind of old. I actually had the club on but the thieves drove the car with the club on(don't know how they did it). If you are familiar with MD area, they found the car in PG county(Greenbelt), just like what JPNUCRX expected. The car has stock engine D16, nothing especial it's an automatic!
RS2 FAB: thanks for posting the picture bro!

I am glad you got it back and it just sounds like minor things to fix. Hopefully the insurance will pay out. I can't stand f$cking thieves, they need to get there own **** legit and leave the rest of us alone.
Post pics when you get a chance and congrats on the recovery.

holy crap i must be the unluckiest bastard in the world...my stock '99 coupe was stolen exactly 4 weeks ago, the cops still haven't found it.
hell i still had the stock wheels on it.
anyway, i'm jealous!
congrats on the find dude.

like op said he forgot to set the autolock obviously it doesnt help to have an alarm if you dont set it. i have a viper alarm with the remote that will page you and the shock sensors are pretty sensitive. i was getting something to eat the other day and it was really windy and my damn remote kept beeping. does anybody else have one of these ? and if so did it keep your car from getting stolen ?
