Not too sure Will surely check that out the car came with it so theyll probably say "it's covered on the original owner" one of those technical things.

Viper's one-year Guaranteed Protection Plan is the most generous in the industry. GPP refunds your comprehensive insurance deductible up to $2,500 if your car is stolen with Viper installed and armed – whether your vehicle is recovered or not!
To qualify, the following conditions must be met:
The qualifying system was sold, installed, and serviced by an authorized dealer for Directed, remains in the car in which the system was originally installed, and owned by the original purchaser of the qualifying system. Window decals must have been in place on the vehicle at the time of installation.
The theft occurred less than one year after the date of purchase of the qualifying Viper system.
This GPP claim is made within sixty (60) days of settlement of your claim with your insurance carrier. (90 days in New York state)
The warranty registration card was completely filled out and mailed to Directed within 10 days of purchase.
The vehicle was stolen as a result of alarm system failure and the automobile was not left in an inactive/disarmed mode for whatever reason, even if left at a service station.
A police report must be filed and a copy submitted with your GPP claim.
Vehicle must be insured against theft at the time vehicle was stolen.
The insurance company must accept and pay the claim.
A Directed starter kill device must have been installed on the vehicle and the sales receipt must show starter kill installation.

Install multiple kill switches, I've had my Viper Alarm since about 2001 and the car has been broken into about 6 times in the last 10 years.
I've never had the car itself stolen due to having multiple kill switches throughout the car. They stole my system one time, after that I started using all star head countersunk screws and irreversibles with lock nuts.
Have my amps under the seats now and the seats are bolted down with torque head bolts. Then the amps themself use irreversible screws, good luck getting that **** out easily.
I made sure to use really odd sizes and shapes for everything, not something you'd carry around in your pocket. Oh yea and plumbers strap is your freind!! lol
You'd need an entire arsonal of tools and lots of time to get anything out of my car. Only way you are moving the car itself would be with a tow truck.

Re: 97 ek coupe stolen in Vallejo CA - Help bay area!
Swear the only reason I even have an alarm is to lower the insurance, noone pays attention to them anymore.
It could be going off with someone sitting in it, in front of a police station and nobody would care.
I think the only thing worth stealing that is pretty easy access would be my rear sway bar, since no back seat.
Don't even keep anything in the car and always remove the faceplate from the HU when I leave the car.
Can't get the stereo or dash apart without a chainsaw lol, not quickly atleast. Hopefully no fuses ever blow!!!
Hope you get some good news tomorrow and the car is recovered quickly!

In Texas I think it's legal to shoot the person stealing your car.
What an amazing state.
I know for a fact somewhere around 37% of the "post-recession" jobs have been created in Texas. Amazing what no state income tax and being a right-to-work state will do.
