If you have an FSM, or a PDF copy on page 11-70 it walks you through a set of procedures to confirm that you have a bad distributor, or if you have access to a known good distributor, you can swap that one and check.

More than likely, yes your distributor is good if your car is starting.
Something else is most likely causing those codes and replacing
the distributor will not fix the codes.

not necessarily, the engine will run, but if one of the sensors is on it's way out, the ignition timing will probably not be where it should be, so it will run, just not the way it should. Just to cover all the bases you should probably double check the connectors and then do an ECU reset, and see if your code reoccurs.
