Default CEL # 9 Cylinder Sensor.. please help!

Alright, so I've been throwing a CEL for # 9 Cylinder Sensor. I checked the CYP Sensor with a Volt Meter and its in the range that its supposed to be. As an added combination, my Vtec isnt operational as well.. Is there something that I should be looking for in the distributor? I hear that you've got to replace the Distributor most of the times when this CEL comes on, but the Distributor was replaced just about 6 months ago.. Feedback is appriciated. Thank you.

What specs did you use to verify this? And what is the resistance of the CYP coil? Did you swap out distributors for an engine swap? Please be more detailed. I'm guess you have it wired backwards, they are polarity sensitive.

I had the same code

I measured everything with a vlt meter, it was all good

you have a BAD distributor
change it, and it will do wonders.
my car idled MUCH better after wards. I though it was because i'm tuned.. but damn, it really did wonders for me.

Measuring everything and it comes out good indicates no fault, if the PCM throws a code for the CYP, there is a problem with it. Reverse wires or a break in them. Out of curiosity, what are the specs for that sensor?

No, I didnt swap out distributors for an engine swap. My motor has been in the hatch for four years now, w/o a single problem. Also, my idle is fine on the motor. Would the Cylinder Sensor CEL make Vtec not work?

well the idle issue wil probably differ

I'm turboed.

and my car would jerk if it was cold (because of my tune)
it was find on operating temp.

I was driving like that for 2 seasons.

then I got that code, I swapped distributors (50$ for a used one)
and my baby was alive again. but I notice that my idle was smooooth, even when my car was cold.

if you're stock, you probably wont notice it.
