Hub question...again
ok repost: Can I roll the car around if I remove the axels or will the hubs come off? is the axel an intgegral part of the design? am I fuct if I try to move the car with the axels out?
All the axels do is provide 'drive' power from the trans to the hubs to drive the car. - In short - no problem, remove the axels, make sure to reconnect all else - Ball joints - tie rods. etc..
the axle nut hold the hub bearing together. If you are rolling the car in a straight line, no problem. Rolling back/fro 1-2 times without axles is ok. But if have seen the hub bearing seperate (likely bearing was bad) after being pushed around several times.
