All 3 engine mounts and both torque mounts can be removed/replaced w/o yanking the motor.

Just to be 100% clear, which mount are you referring to? Driver's side or passenger side?

Either way, you are going to have to support the engine from the bottom. I usually use a jack and a piece of wood.

the strongest point of the oil pan is the best to support from the bottom

support it with a jack (if it's wide enough to cover a good part of a pan) or a jack and a piece of wood.

stands could work too but i tried that once and ended up working another transmission mount pretty good :[

edit... don't push the motor up.. just support it.

You dont need to support the engine. If you take off the big stupid fluid filled crappy always breaking top drivers side mount, there's still the AC mount holding the motor onto the car.

Take off mount. Put on new mount. Done. You dont even have to lift the car off the ground.

if you're just taking off any ONE mount, you really dont need to support the engine. 2 or more mounts, and you need to support the engine with something. I use a book and a jack with a big pad underneath the oil pan. The part that portrudes.
