THis is pretty simple..I have a 2nd gen teg ls turbo pretty standard t3/t4 setup..I have 450cc injectors and was tuning with chrome..I got a Map from Xecron that was supposed to be good..BUT..this is my problem..IF i drive the car normal(meaning NOt allowing the car to enter boost, it Drives perfect..), but as soon as i try to step on the pedal and enter boost..it's just breaks up and doesn't let boost..i personally think..i need to get it tuned. BUT one of my good friends is set on it being something mechanical..i've looked over the setup with 3 or more different people and everyone says the setup looks fine..I mean theres not that much to a turbo kit.. FOOTNOTE: ive went through about 4 pairs of spark plugs moving the car a few times b/c their dripping black when i pull them out after starting the car..ANY ADVICE ?? or should i go with my gut and spend the money to get it street tuned ?

your not even really supposed to be boosting with basemap. a basemap is just so your car can run the injectors so that you can drive it to a tuner to get tuned...

 

my 1st guess is your Chrome basemap is still set for Stock 240cc injectors.. and you have 450cc in there..

put some stock injectors in there.. DONT BOOST.. and drive to a dyno ..
Bring you 450cc injectors and install them at the dyno....

he has his 450cc injectors installed and the car runs find under normal driving conditions, which means his basemap is for his 450 injectors already. hes have trouble boosting because your not supposed to be boosting with a basemap and it probably has a boost cut set at 1 or 2lbs.
