Best way to Remove a glob of bondo in the gas cap hole?
Someone before me was doing a gas fillup relocation i guess you could call it, so they filled in the hole where you put the gas pump in, where the little gas cap door is basically with bondo.
Right now it's cruddy, needs to be sanded down, but i much rather remove it somehow and return it to original design so i don't have to keep filling gas in the back so it doesn't smell like gas fumes inside the car on occasion.
Whats the best way to remove a solid chunk in the square hole like this of the gas cap area safely and effectively without scratching the body up.
Tool's/chemicals and tips/suggestions needed, thanks.

most likely the paint under it is already freaked up...if all they used was bondo then it would be like a cube of bondo where the gas filler used to be....id say just tap it out...not hard tho...u kno light tapping...
i agree, light tapping with a BFH (big [freak]ing hammer).lol jp, most likely ull have to sand down n repaint tha area. so just take ur time be aware of how deep your chisel is digging..

Rent or borrow a power sander for sure! You will damage the paint around the hole, no way around it really. I think I'd use a small flathead screwdriver and lightly chisel away the filler material as far to the sides as you can, then sand off the rest.

Put on a facemask and eye protection and have at it with a wire wheel. You won't damage the paint and the wirewheel will do a great job of removing the bondo.
