Does Honda Warranty Cars w/ Salvage titles?
I am asking this question because I have a salvaged '00 Si and just been reading about the grinding syncros in the transmission. My car is still under 25k miles and I was wondering if the Honda warranty is still covered in my car? I want to fix the grinding problems.
Sorry, but you may be out of luck, unless you bought the car certified from honda (which they would'nt because they don't sell salvaged) the warrenty would only apply to the original owner under the original terms. What you should chaeck tho is if there has been any factory recall's involving the transmissions. If there have been, you may be able to get it fixed for free. Check out your local dealer. Good luck
They will run the VIN and find out that it is a Salvage.
Your only luck is to either purchase a used tranny or have that one rebuilt.
And chances are it is they forks and not the syncros.
