Default opinions please

GSR is going into the shop Monday...Big bucks I'm dropping, but it's my little present to myself.....About $1700 in labor, including timing belt and water pump.
$1570 in parts (Skunk2 Stage2 cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainers, Skunk2 intake manifold, ITR rear sway)

Total= $3270.00 (AutoAuthority in Fairfax) Acura Master Techs

This hobby is to addicting... Opinions please!!
ps. 12 months on all labor done, which I thought was pretty good...

your getting charged too much. Autothority does good work but their prices are too high. If I was you I'd do myself a favor for your present and call Stan or John at InlinePRO out in Springfield and buy your parts and get your work done there. They Get 2 thumbs up from me. Autothority gets only 1 because they do good work but their pricing sucks.

$3200 for cams and intake manifold and sway bar? RIP-OFF

AutoAuthority is only $200 more, with a better reputation, and a 12 month warranty on all work..It's not just the cams, gears, valves springs, retainers, but also manifold, water pump, timing belt, radiator flush, and dyno....

when installing cams timing belt and water pump shouldnt cost any extra since you have to have the timing belt off anyway.

If you are intested in saving some cash on the labor and are willing to drive to DE for your install drop me an IM. My brother has a shop, he did all of my work (with my help). And yes I agree, this car mod thing is hard to stop once you start. My car was totaly stock 6 months ago, now look...
