i was curious when it came to those who have boosted their ride. did you go with manual boost or electric? which controller do you use when going electric?

im getting ready to boost my first car. im getting a manual controller. i just dont really trust manual boost.

For me, I like the simplicity of an MBC. You set it and forget it. It's been proven to work and I've never had a problem with MBC's.

With electronic boost controllers, they offer cool features like switching boost at the helm and some have features where they keep the gate closed as long as possible allowing a few hundred rpm's faster spool. The AVCR also offer gear based boost which helps alot with traction for high HP cars.

However, ebc's are more complicated to setup and as anything electronic, have more chances of failure than an MBC.

If you ask me, I would recommend the MBC and use the money saved elsewhere, but both work.

having different boost setting per gear is the major reason i wanted to go electric. my power goal is 550- 600. so i want to be able to get traction in 1 and 2 gear.

also, my engine bay is a little cramped so wouldn't electric help save space?

An MBC is not that big so space is not an issue. If you have the money to spend on it, then the gear based boost is a great feature, if not an MBC will do you just fine.
