Default imstar street renegade: headliner removal ok?

Rules say you have to keep interior from front seats back, does that mean its ok to remove the panel along the cieling? Part of it is in front, part in the rear. What about carpet in the drivers and passenger side floorboard, I'm assuming it has to stay?

.... must remove everything possible to run with jason and karl, even switching to a new car because of these ridiculous times you two keep running

Well I believe you need the headliner, plus I think if you had a bowel movement in the morning it might weigh more than the headliner. Could go with the old shool pull out radio, and take that out durring race day and save more weight, Jason

thats not the reason you are switching

i'm pretty sure the carpeting will have to stay, though you can remove floor mats, that'll get you a 1/10th or 2

Anyone got an idea on what the headliner would weigh on your average hatch?

"Rules say you have to keep interior from front seats back"

Rules say front seats forward

Oops, typo! About the weight, I'd guess it weighs ~3-5lbs for the covers down the pillar, and the entire headliner.
