Don't do it, Period.

Trans won't work, Axles won't work, OBD0 ECU won't work, And OBD0 B18's have the same HP as a Z6.

What about a 93 B18A1? Isn't that OBD1? I have a 1992 Civic Hatchback with a D16Z6 motor in it right now. My brother wrecked his 1993 Integra with a B18A1 motor in it with a hydraulic transmission. I want to put his motor and transmission into my car. Will the transmission, axles, ecu work? Or should I just get a B18A1 base map and tune it on my P28 ecu? Will I need any custom stuff (axles, motor mounts, wiring issues)? Which harness would I use, his or mine? Thanks.

Seen it done. B18A in a EG. When he popped the hood I was like, wait a second... you told me you had an LS... but not THIS KIND! LOL!!

I'm sure he had the one with the hydro tranny. So if its a hydro it'll work. Cable would require too much modifcations.

The transmission would work, the ECU would definatly work, but you will still need axles and half-shaft from a 94+ Integra. Assuming all OBD1 wiring harness plugs are the same for OBD1 and OBD2 integras, you would want to use the wiring harness thats on the integra motor so it would be a 'plug in' swap.

So the axles off the 93 Integra would not work? Why would I need the intermediate shaft and the axles off a 94+ Integra? Would I need to get the axles off an Integra with no ABS because my car has no ABS?

to my knowledge, the DA platform has different knuckles/axles than the DC. The DC platform is the same as our EG civic platform, so you'd need to use 94+ (DC Integra) axles. Also, I don't think the axles matter with ABS, I'm actually like 99% sure the axles ON my B18B swap are ABS ones, and it has no mal effects.

b18a1 with b18b1 manifold and head give more power

You can use any b-series axles with any b-series swap. I have 91 integra axles on my swap and I am using a 94 integra tranny with my b18a1 motor.

I heard bad things about the cable B transmissions. Someone said you can use the 93 axles in a 5th gen Civic if you use 94 Integra tranny axle seals. If the ones you have have a lot of miles, just buy some for a 94 though. It's only like $150, and you'll have to change them eventually because the boots WILL split down the road, and it's a pain changing the axles.

dumb idea man , the swap is straight forward but your taking a step back on CABLE tranny! sucks for the most part.

just get a 94 + TEG b18

if you use the 93 teg engine all you need is halfshaft, Axles,94+ mount/DC Mount mount bracket. and probably it. and b18 can put more power than a z6 simply cause ive beaten a z6 in my 94 eg h/b and a dc integra. I like the b18a1 more than the b1

The axles from the 90-93 integra will work. I have a b18a1 in my 95 hatch. All I had to do is get the 90-93 (half shaft side) tranny seal. If you are using the cable tranny then that is not needed. I use the hydro tranny so I had to change my tranny seal.

Is your b18a1 stock?? or do you have work done to it?? I haven't raced anyone with my b18a1 swap yet but I know i will get tested. All I have is CAI and full cat-exhaust.

dont do it at all. you better off finding a complete 94-95 swap for like 800 bux. direct drop in with no modifications.

90-93 integra is all cable trans. so if you are gonna drop it in a eg you are gonna need to get a hydro tranny, cluch and flywheel. and yes all 90-93 axles will work in egs but only if you use the halfshaft from that year. i know many ppl thats done it. only bad side is if you break the axle on the driver side the male end always breaks inside the halfshaft

so your saying that the motor mounts on the honda hatch/coupes will work on the b18a1 swap? i thought you would of had to use the 94+ motor mounts for the swap?
