Im not sure if i have a problem or not. My setup is a stock head/bottom 96 Gsr with a Full race stg 2. My car idles fine but in the moment of going through the gears my car sounds similar to a 350z ...Kinda has that purrrrr to it. Problem is, im not sure if it is supposed to sound like that, ive had hondas before pretty hopped up and they were deep and smooth at the exhaust note, i dont know if its my RC 750s having a problem idleing or what.... I have a straight Through N1 with a resonator and my downpipe has a strange hole in it like something used to go there, id say a pencil eraser size. Could anyone tell me how to resolve this problem? could it be a blown exhaust gasket?

 

First you say the car idles fine, then you say your injectors have a problem idling.

Care to try again?

is the hole threaded? kinda sounds like maybe an egt sensor used to be there?

 

if it sounds kinda like a subaru then u probably bent a vale or somthing along those lines.

Over rev or miss shift lately?

well i wouldn't say it sounds like a subaru, its similar but not as gappy sounding. Have you had this problem before?

subaru sound can come from faulty injector wiring as well. my car sounded exactly like a exhausted boxer engine when i was only running on 3 cyl. due to a broken injector wire.
