Default test pipe/cat questions

well the flange on my cat were it connects to the downpipe is bent so its causing an exhaust leak
i was thinkin about replacing the cat or maybe throwin a omni power test pipe on it
just getting opinions and facts on the sound diffrence
and overall change , thanks

it will be a catastrophic sound difference with a test pipe.

Grab a highflow for $140

gutted cat acts like a resonator, still better than a test pipe.
pick up a high flow cat (a real one not an ebay special that you can throw a baseball through), a glass pack or a resonator, you'll regret the test pipe option eventually.

yes, but the flow in a gutted cat creates vertices, which will cut flow down by 30%. So its almost better to not even gut the cat

if your boosted just test pipe it and reap the benefits
the sound will be different but the turbo acts like a muffler so you shouldn't be to bad off.
