will i pass tech?
i looked at the 2008 rules and most of them are just revisions/stuff that wouldn't matter to me i.e. roll cages and fuel. i'll be super happy if my integra gets into the 13's. but i don't have any covers to where all my wireing use to be.

the tape is temporary just to help keep water out when it rains.
so what do you think? will i pass tech inspections?

Depending on the track and tech you may or may not. All holes in the firwall must be sealed though, I believe in case of a fire. I know at Atco they made one of the VW guys cover his holes before they would pass him. He was there cutting out sheet metal and screwing it in to pass tech. I would just cover them to be safe and save yourself the time and headache of not passing tech.
the track is Oriellly Raceway Park in indiana. what should i cover them with? i was thinking i've got some plastic plates that are black that i could glue on there but then i'd be like
lol...any suggestions?

Honda sells OEM rubber plugs for both those holes. If you do a search in the appearance, cosmetic forum under tucked, shaved, molded engine bays it has the part #s for the wirewall plugs. They are pretty cheap. Hope this helps.
Newby_j....is ORP still open tonight? If so, just don't pop your hood when you go through tech. I can't remember the last time they actually looked at my car in the past 10 years on a Street Legal night.
Usually they shut the track down if it is under 55 degrees...and it is definately under that today.

yeah unfortunately..it was gonna be a b-day present to myself to go run my car out there today. oh well..life goes on right?

i didn't know that. the only time i've ran my car there was last year at ITB and they tech'd the **** out of my car. gave me a 15 min speech on how my car wasn't legal to run nitrous and other little things. i figured they'd definately do that for a street legal tuesday. especially because my battery is in the trunk and i've got the kill switch on the outside of the vehicle like the rules say.

I wouldn't want to run the car, without the holes covered. Fire likes air, and you car is full of it. The fire will take the shortest path to get to the air inside your cabin ie: the holes. Find someone local that can weld or at least seam seal some patches over those holes before they become flame throwers in the case of a fire under the hood (Yes I do realize that it's unlikely)
That's a great looking engine bay though.....

well..i think i've got a hookup on some carbon fiber pieces that i was gonna put there. but it was just a matter of waiting for them. and since those covers from honda are cheap i might do that for a temporary fix. till the carbon fiber pieces come in.
but thanks for the compliment.
