Timing belt seal
i saw a little oil leak under my car and when i couldnt find where it was coming from i took it to my mechanic to get it on the lift and found out it was coming from the timing belt seal. now my mechanic wants $250 to do the job. I know the part is something like a few bucks so i wanted to do it myself, just wanted to know if anyone has done this and whats involved in the process? thanks

How much does he want to charge for refilling the blinker fluid?

Yeah, it's all in labor because you're having to do 3/4 of a full t-belt change. What kind of mileage do you have? It's also very possible that you really do need a t-belt change, in which case you should be changing the seal anyway (front main seal as it's technically called, I believe). What side is the oil leaking from? If it's t-belt side, it's very possibly the front main seal, balance shaft seals, cam seals or maybe oil pan. If it's on the tranny side, could be rear main seal or distributor o-ring.
