Put a D16z6 into my 90 si.
After having trouble even starting it (turns out starter needed a new ground) once i have the car started its idle is really low and it runs pretty weak.
Really low rpm/practically doesnt even register on the rpm needle. Cant hold anything steady when gas is applied, and cant even rev high because it dips off and almost dies. After messing with it it sputters and quits eventually.
I checked all the vac lines and even tested disconnecting some.
Then i noticed the tps was all busted up. must have gotten crunched during the swap. So i just swapped out the whole throttle body for a spare one with a good tps still on it. Its a b18c TB but ive used it before. The only thing is thoguh i cant remember if i calibrated the TPS on it like it did with the y8 tps many months back when i was replacing them and swapping TB's aorund.
So could it be:
-Timing (my buddy did it for me during the swap, so i cant vouche i did it but he knows far more than i do)
-TPS (needs proper calibration to stock) Can some one point me/explain how its done and what range it needs to be in. I know it involves a multimeter.
-Other?
-gas? its a really low. on E. But i put a gallon in jsut incase. Can it sputter and run crappy cause its not getting a steady flow of fuel?
