Default sedan trunk swap

alright guys so i want the 99 tails on my 98 sedan so i hear a bunch of things on a trunk swap so i did the search and came up with 2 different resuslts, check these links out

so this guy talks about how it fits fine but then i looked at this too...

this one says it wont work

soo what is the right answer? the body lines are the same and i also noticed on the first link i guess the lights hook up different? so any help with this guys?

The one guy who answered the second question sounds confused. It sounds like he thought the OP wanted to swap '96-'98 sedan taillights for '99-'00 sedan taillights without a trunk swap.

I would imagine they would be interchangeable. Check the 4 door thread to make sure.

yeah i read something that eran said in there and that makes more sense i just wanted to make sure before i go out and spend the money

Eran has a hatch. I would post in the sedan thread asking if it is possible and if anyone has done it before. That way you get a confirmation that it definitely works.

no gaps. its all oem parts. Its like doing a 99-00 front end on a 96-98

all you do is solder on the 99-00 sockets/pigtails onto the 96-98 wiring. There will be an extra wire that you just tape off
