Default ls rebuild.

ok so i picked up a dissasembled ls motor for cheap off a buddy had a local shop check it out all is good.. now this is my first time completely rebuilding a motor. aka bottom end mostly. does any one have and advice or things to look out for b4 i go into this... i have rebuilt motor b4 and am no way a noob ot the motor world... just gimmie some pointers.. thanks guys

Im confused as to what your question is considering you have previously stated that you have done this before and you are not a noob...

have fun lapping the valves, and make sure your torque wrench is calibrated along with all the other measuring devises

nah i know that but all motors are different.. i have rebuilt a few small blocks. it just id rather get a few pointers from someone that has rebuilt a honda bottom end.. bc there is bound to be summin thats gonna get my stumped.

Buy a Haynes/Chiltons manual for the car the engine came out of, It will be the best $18 you will have spent on the engine.

yeah i plan on it.. ihave acsess to shop key and mitchel on demand so that helps. too.. ima get pics up and try to be as indepth as i can and then if i have aany ? u peeps can help...

just buy a good rebuilt kit, and try to change every gasket and seal that they give you. Make sure you apply grease to all friction points when you put it back together (i.e. camshaft, rocker arm thingies). Don;t over torque ****. and have fun with all of those valve guides and spring reassembly
