worstswap ever. however when i did it a few years ago mine wouldnt start, 2 reasons, u have to have the timing dead on because they do not line up perfect. when the car is off it will be a tooth out of timing. there is no fix and when rpms go up timing just gets worse. there are a hundred write ups about why not to use a y8 head on z6 block and vice versa. also make sure all your grounds are good. and connected. if they dont work check the distributor. you are useing the y8/y7 distributor, correct!!. if that dont work then make sure all your wires are connected. u didnt forget the plugs or anything stupid did u. everyone makes a mistake now and then.

also when u repinned the distributor did u put all the same wires back because they are different. they switched up some wire colors from 95-96
