FPR question.. Turbo GSR
I have a b&m fpr and I'm pretty sure the fuel pressure is varying.. Some times it idles good sometimes its pig rich, loads up, wont even run and partial throttle kicks pops black smokes and runs like crap. I went to a meet the other day, ran good all day then on the way back it was loading up real bad. We had to back the fuel pressure back down to like 40 psi to get it home. When we did that, the idle smoothed out and partial throttle was excellent w no dead spots. I didn't get into boost though because I was afraid it was going to lean out.
My question is can I just ditch my b&m and slap a d16 or LS factory FPR on it and tune to that lower fuel pressure and be ok? I'm no were close to maxing out my 1000cc precisions and I fell like they will open and close better at a lower pressure thus easing drive ability. I am running 12-17psi w a 60-1 turbo in a built gsr.
Thank you for your help,
DK
