i searched but couldnt find anything useful. so anyway...

my car is an A/T 99 civic lx and my speedometer isnt working. i know its not the VSS because my dad and i took the 99 lx's VSS and swapped it with my 96 dx's VSS and the lx VSS worked well in my dx and the lx's speedometer still wouldnt move with my 96 dx VSS. nothing wrong with the cluster because we swapped our clusters as well. we used the program ALLDATA to troubleshoot and figured out there were 2 other speedsensors (one located in the front of the tranny...front right of the engine and another one rear right of the engine) but i dont think those have anything to do with the speedometer because when i disconnected those two sensors on my DX, my speedometer still worked. so we checked the wiring on the VSS and i forget the figures, but on one of the wires on the 99 lx turned out to be .4 lower than the same wire on my DX. so maybe its a ground issue, but the last thing we wanna do is splice. is there anything else to check???

btw...there is a CEL but its for the O2 sensor.

 

btw...i checked fuse #15 and its good as well...

 

yea if it was ur speedodemter fuse you car would go dead to cause my fuse blown and it was for the speedometer and the altinator. gay rite!! first my speedo didnt work then my car started backfiring and would only run for a few hundred feet repalced the fuse and solved the problem. That happened when a stupid friggin deer decided to run out in front of me while i was on ice doin 45!! Lol i love insurance!!
