the main relay just buzzes and growls, the checkengine light comes on but is dim, fuel pump does not prime.


no battery light or oil pressure light comes on.

great grounds, 12.5v at the fuse box and battery.

please help.

Is it possible that the battery terminals and connectors need cleaning?

Have you tried to retrieve the CEL code?

yes voltage is perfect.

the cel light is on because the fuel pump is not priming...

 

I am not sure what year/model Civic you have, but it may be worth troubleshooting the main relay and the fuel pump circuit with a multimeter.

The fact that the CEL is dim, however, may indicate a more general electrical wiring/ground issue.

 

i need this thing to run. damn.
