I don't know if I'm the first person to have this problem hopefully not but I a JDM B20b that I had to modify the dipstick cause it was to tall for my hood, so then I fixed it so it was just below the top of the valve cover, which works great, my problem now is that I have a turbo kit that I'm putting together and discovered that once I bolt on the manifold which is the short style cast iron the dipstick doesn't sit all the way down in the tube and its totally impossible once you put the wastegate on. Does anyone have any experience w/this problem or ideas.

 

let me see if i have this right.... the dip stick wont go i the hole, or the tube that the dipstick goes in wont go on the block? or is it the manifold sits on the dipstick and wont let it fit??

 

i knew someone who had the same problem..he got a torch to it and bent the tube so he was able to put the dipstick back in, sorry i dont have any pictures of before/after

 

yeah i would recomend you biult a pipe bending jig and just bend it to a angle that avoids the manifold
