Default ITR final drive in a ls tranny

okhere me out first. i dont plan on doing this or have a desire to. i was just wandering if a itr final drive ,(i beleive the jdm itr is 4.75 correct me if im wrong) weill fit in a ls tranny,being b series trannys and all. has any one ever tried this or has it currently. would it benift a turboed LS? plese just simple awnsers, i dont think this requires a smart *** awnser. thanks for any awnsers or opinions given.

IMO u should just get the type r tranny...jdm or usdm.
people can argue about long gears and boost and all that...
but either way, with the type r tranny u get the lsd plus the lighter flywheel...
AND the shorter gearing which you were looking for in the first place.

yeah but the ls lets u stay in boost longer, now i u had the itr 5th gear, then u could really get going in 5th

physically it will fit. although u will need a GSR or ITR diff. LS and SI trannies have a physically smaller differential. GSR and ITR have bigger ones.
