Okay im changing my rotors on a 2002 honda s2000.
Question is that there are two little screws that go through the rotor.
Do those need to come out?
Its hard to get them out, any insight or tips on how to get them out before i start banging away?

you can just drill them out...their only purpose is to hold the rotors in place during the vehicle assembly process
they are NOT required upon replacement

I just changed mine. I used a screwdriver and a hammer. As I tried to turn the screw driver I hit the end of it with a hammer. It worked great. And Graffiti is right, they are not needed. But it makes it easier IMO to reassemble everything. GL

If they are really stuck, use an impact or drill... if not, use a hammer and screwdriver.

use an impact gun with a 1/4 standard attached with a phillips bit in it. Knock it with something to loosen the screws first and then get it out. Dont strip it! You dont need them but it makes putting them back on a whole lot easier cause the damn thing slides around.
Ninja Side note: When working on a 95 E class Benz these are necessary since Germans thought i was needed. If you have ever worked on a Benz it sucks doing suspension and brake work.

as a lot of people have said, use the impact driver... mine were soooo tight on my GSR, that I had to use the impact to tighten them more to loosen them... sounds strange but it worked... good luck

Good point, forgot about that. You will need at least 1 screw to put them back on.... otherwise it's a bitch.
