When I first got my car the engine was blown so I put in a D16B and it was the first engine I had ever installed in a car and with help from the manual I did it singlehandedly.

Everything has worked pretty well,I've just had problems here and there that I've fixed but ever since I put in the engine theres always been this weird squeak that the car makes and I don't know if its because of an error I made during installation or what.

The squeak occurs about midway throttle.If I just have the throttle slightly open it doesn't make the noise and if I open the throttle up it doesn't make the squeak.Its just a certain area in the middle.I thought it might be the clutch so I dropped the tranny and inspected the clutch and it looked fine(I bought a new stock clutch kit before I installed the engine).If anyone has any ideas about what this could be let me know.Thanks.

Could be the throttle cable. They're cheap so thats not a expensive fix.

 

Yea I once had a mechanic listen to it and he said it sounded like something having to do with the throttle so I think your right.But why would it squeak?

No one has any ideas at all?Can anyone tell by the video if it really is the throttle cable?Any information would be helpful.
