Default Son of a........Rod knock + Valve slap = New Project.

Well, I didn't make it to work this morning......Rod knock developed about half way there. (30 miles)

Well, let's just say that I am having a JDM SOHC dropped in and will build the POS that I just blew up today over time.

I have already spoken with AEBS and we are looking at a 1.9L SOHC that will push an estimated 170 WHP and 155 ft-lbs. This will be in prepairation for the Turbo Yup, If I was going to stay all motor it would be stroked to an insane 2000cc's (2.0L for those of you who are still learning).

So, If you want to beat the whole smog thing.......keep it inside the block (new sig.) As for the turbo well we just have to put that in Greddy hands......who seem to be taking a very long time to develope there 6th Gen Civic turbo application.

N-E-Way, this isn't going to happen over night and will be a long time in the making as I have to pay off the emergency credit card I just got to get the damn thing running.......

They will not increase the block height......Rod/Stroke ratio doesn't bother me.
However, it will be a new stroked crank and a higher mounting point on the pistons as well as a bore increase. Block is going to be sleeved in ductile iron (of course).

Cost is insane. This is going to be a one thing at a time project.....i.e. Sleeve the block......then buy the crank.......then buy the rods......yadda yadda.
Let alone the insane head work that has to be done.
Cam is going to be custom of course.......will purchase a blank cam and have it ground to speck......researching the possibility of using a HX head (roller rockers) and then just using a custom cam for that spec. I am really trying to get the HX head because of the cam lift angles are going to be very hard on regular rockers.

Rod knock.......bearings between rod and crank go bad and the thing Knocks around......very loud and very noticable.

EDIT: Valve slap........I ment the valve slapped the piston......not good chances are it bent something fierce.
