Honestly, I'd keep what you already have. Having new car payments while at college is not what you would want to worry about.

No doubt, even if you trade your si and put the 5 grand down you still can't afford a type s you might could if the title is salvaged. or you could get a kia. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Pat_S &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Honestly, I'd keep what you already have. If you like the SI than just keep it and fix it up. But if you want something newer than go with the rsx. I would personally go with the RSX since it's newer but its all up to you.

HIGH FIVE

Seriously to the OP, 5 grand is gonna put you at least 10grand closer to a RSX in decent shape. So just keep the EM1 until you get out of college and have a good career.

You have a solid car. Keep it and save. If you're bored, mod it a bit, but don't do a big investment while entering college.

If you see all my cars for sale. College is the reason for that. Go to school, get good grades and enjoy the college atmosphere. You can;t do that with loans in your name and needing to work. It sucks. Put that $5k in your savings account and put it towards a new car when you graduate and trade that EM1 in.

I like how it matters so much to his Dad that he attends the college that he wants instead of what his kids wants that he will give him 5 grand to do it.

I would save the money and buy an RSX after you get done for sure!!! Good luck man.
