Just recently my 99 civic lx auto pings, it seems to only do this in third gear and doesnt want to downshift. Should i run some octane booster in my car or step up to 91 octane for one tank and see from there? If the pinging stops what are the cures or do i have to dish out 40 more cents for the higher octane.
